We hosted our very first Mini Leader Training at Red Hall School for 6-8 children in Year 3/4. We had children from Red Hall, Reid Street and Northwood attend. Children took part in ice breaker tasks before completing sheets to help them establish what makes a Good Sports Leader and what makes a Bad Sports Leader. Once completed the children came in for a discussion to share their ideas which led to the children thinking about different ways they can communicate. The children then had the opportunity to lead an activity in their school groups, it was nice to see the children leading, demonstrating and using some of the skills they had learnt put into action. All the children did brilliantly and all offered feedback to other groups on what went well and what they could do to improve. The children were also given a resource pack to take back into school so they could do come Mini Leading with younger year groups.
